Danau Toba Crater ( Medan Travel Agent )

The world famous crater lake of Danau Toba is the third biggest tourist destination of Indonesia. The island in the huge lake, Pulau Samosir, attracts many tourists. Lake Toba is the largest lake in Southeast Asia, once created by an enormous eruption less than 100.000 years ago. The eruption was approximately 8.000 times more powerful than the eruption of Mount St. Helen in 1981. Ashes in the stratosphere circled around the earth for years and changed the climate. As things began to settle another volcanic eruption happened about 25.000 years later and built up a secondary volcano inside the caldera.

Day Tour - Tangkahan Off Road Adventure

Bukit Lawang Offroad Tangkahan

Pick up by private car and off road transfer on a rustic" Indonesian 4-wheel drive to Tangkahan (no air-con!). On the way you pass villages and plantations and stop at several places for panoramic views. After a 2.5-hour ride on a bumpy road you will arrive in the jungle village Tangkahan. There you will have lunch in local restaurant restaurant. Then get to decide individually how you would like to spend your time in this hidden paradise: go to river Wash the elephants and do a 1-hour elephant trek operated by our partner CRU/LPT Tangkahan to experience the jungle from a different perspective, just wash the elephants, relax or swim in the jungle river or walk around the village. Therafter drive back to Bukit Lawang in the afternoon at around 4:00 pm.

3-Hours Jungle Trek & Feeding Platform

ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Your Guide will meet  you at  Medan's Kuala Namu Airport with private a/c car and driver for transport to Bukit Lawang. Arrive at Bukit Lawang and walk to your accommodation. One night in Bukit Lawang

DAY 2 - After breakfast, your Guide will meet you and you will head out to visit the Orangutan Feeding Platform for the 8:00 AM Feeding. You will spend approximately 1 hour at the Feeding Platform, depending on how many orangutans arrive. From the Feeding Platform you will continue with your Guide into the jungle for a 3-Hour Jungle Trek. You will return from the Jungle Trek, by walking or rafting, to your guesthouse with free time in the afternoon Your permit allows you entry for the 3:00 PM Feeding as well.   You may attend the 3:00 PM Feeding independantly.  If you require a Guide or extra assistance, extra charges may apply.  Second night in Bukit Lawang.

DAY 01: Airport – check-in hotel - Pickup by air-con car from Kuala Namu Airport ( 30minutes) and transport to your hotel in Medan. Free program

DAY 02 : Medan - Bukit Lawang – After breakfast and check-out hotel, drive to Bukit Lawang ( 3,5 hours ). Upon arrival check-in to your hotel to put your lugages, than you will take for jungle trekking with your local guide to see the orang utan, evening return to your hotel. DAY 03: " Tangkahan Off Road Adventure" (1-Full day tour): Off road tour by 4-wheel drive to Tangkahan (2,5 hours), on the way you pass villages and plantations and stop at several places for panoramic views: includes Elephant trekking and a lot of fun washing elephants in the Buluh River, operated by our partner CRU/LPT Tangkahan, local guide, lunch, all permits, driver, petrol. Starts at 09:00 am. Stay another night in Bukit Lawang, River View Room, bathroom with western toilet and hot water shower, fan. 

DAY 04: Tangkahan – Medan - Transfer Airport - After breakfast and check-out hotel, you will drive back to Medan, on arrival you will visit Maimon palace. therafter drive to the airport to catch your flight back.

Pick up at Hotel, meet and greet with our representative, therafter depart to Parapat passing through palm oil and rubber plantation, enroute stop for buying local snack and toilet. on arrival in Parapat direct proceed to Ferry port across onboard to Samosir Island. upon arrival visiting the Tomok village to see the old tomb of King’s Sidabutar, Ambarita village to see the stone chairs, tables and court yard of Siallagan’s clan. evening transfer to hotel for check-in. night free program. Day 02: Free program / Cycling Tour on Samosir (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Today you will make a cycling tour around Tuktuk village on the island. During the tour you will pass ricefield, water buffalo at work and villages. In the afternoon you return to hotel. Rest of the day at own leisure. ( Lunch & Dinner on own arrangement )

Day 03: Samosir Island - Simanindo - Tiga Ras – Berastagi

Breakfast at hotel. after check-out recross the lake to Tiga raja, therafter depart to Berastagi, enroute stop at Simarjarunjung for gingger tea, Pematang Purba to see the long house/ Rumah bolon, last stop at Tongging to see Sipiso-piso waterfall. on arrival in Berastagi visit Traditional market for fresh fruit and local souvenir. evening transfer to the hotel. Dinner at hotel. night free program ( Lunch on own arrangement ) you will arrive in Berastagi arround 1:00 PM, you can take for mountain climbing of Sibayak about 3 hours return (optional)
